MAIN BUSINESS OPERATIONS PORTAL
Pro-Group Portal.
The operations portal I architected and built to run Pro-Group — the reason a three-person team can run three sales channels.
The problem
Established suppliers have great stock but their data lives in legacy accounting systems, spreadsheets and rep-led processes. Supplier data, stock, listings, orders, invoices and fulfilment all describe one operation, yet they sit across different platforms.
What I did
Architected and built app.pro-group: supplier imports, catalogue management, pricing rules, marketplace listing tools, order handling, invoice allocation and fulfilment workflows. StockSync AI and the Takealot listing tools are part of this portal, not separate products.
Decisions that matter
- StockSync AI suggests supplier column mappings, but a person reviews them before anything changes — with pricing adjustments and stock rules applied after.
- Takealot listing workflows use category templates and validate suggested attributes before draft or submission.
- Catalogue and marketplace work connect to procurement, invoices, order state and fulfilment inside one portal.
- Commercial viability guides each feature: fees, courier costs and margin are part of the data, not an afterthought.
