Custom show controls that turn artist, co-artist and effects decisions into console changes.
The problem
A live performance can require many related routing changes — who is singing, who shares a song, which effects go to whose in-ears. Repeating them by hand, mid-show, is slow and risky.
What I did
Built a configurable Python application that translates artist and effects choices into console OSC messages, with separate setup and show views.
Decisions that matter
- Artist and aux mappings live in configuration, not in the engineer’s memory.
- Level mappings translate display choices to console values.
- The OSC layer constructs padded addresses and typed float arguments.
